CAPE M
PIANO, VOICE
Cape is an American soprano who recently graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a B.M and a concentration in Vocal Performance. Having been under the tutelage of Susan Quittmeyer, Cape has performed in several operas and operatic scene productions with Opera Theater Rutgers (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, La Bohème, Die Zauberflöte, Der Freischütz, L’elisir d’amore, Escobar). She also has an extensive choral background, having been a member and soloist of Rutgers Voorhees Choir and Rutgers Kirkpatrick Choir, run by Dr. Brandon Williams and Dr. Patrick Gardner. Cape has been performing in high-level ensembles since the age of 12 after having joined Concordia Youth Chorale under the direction of John and Cynthia Balme, in which she has sung in cathedrals in the United States, Canada, England, and Ireland, and has performed on the highly regarded venues of Carnegie Hall, Radio City, Madison Square Garden, the Newark Prudential Center and more. Cape also has experience and a great love for musical theater and has been in numerous musicals throughout her high school experience (Mary Poppins, The Wedding Singer, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast). She strives to create a safe place for singers of all kinds to sing, create, perform, and appreciate the art of music and the joy it brings.
JESSICA V
EARLY STARTERS, PIANO, VOICE
Jessica is a graduate student at Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University) pursuing her M.M. in Opera, following her completion of a B.M. in Music Education and Vocal Performance at the same institution. Rutgers Opera credits include Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Ensemble), L'Orfeo (Euridice), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Peaseblossom), Escobar (Ensemble), Candide (Paquette), and several opera scenes programs. She has an extensive choral background as well, having performed in several high-level ensembles since the age of 14.
STELLA O
PIANO, VOICE, EARLY STARTERS
Stella has been a highly motivated and energetic voice teacher and music educator for 20+ years of experience in music lessons and performances. She graduated summa cum laude in Music Performance at Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea and received her master's degree at Mannes School of Music in New York City and Montclair University in New Jersey. She has been teaching music at St. Thomas the Apostle School since 2016 and has been singing on major stages in the metro area such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Madison Square Garden. Stella also has been part of the prestigious group, New York Choral Society since 2003. She recently completed the Dalcroz Eurythmics for Children Comprehensive Training Program at Lucy Moses School in Kaufman Music Center in New York City. Stella continues to train, coach, and mentor singers of all ages and levels. Her students have been part of numerous auditions and have performed on main stages such as Lincoln Center and a Carnegie Hall. To this day, Stella is a committed and dedicated music educator for those with a serious passion for music.
LINDSAY C
EARLY STARTERS, VOICE, PIANO
Lindsay is a graduate student at Rutgers University pursuing her M.M. in opera performance and has a B.M. from Ithaca College in vocal performance. She has performed in Cendrillon (Ithaca College); Die Fledermaus (Martina Arroyo Foundation) and has performed roles such as Micaëla (Carmen); Antonia (Belisario); and Third Lady/ Pamina (The Magic Flute). She was a finalist in the National Hal Leonard competition; third place Rising Stars Classical Voice Competition; and winner of the SMC Young Artists Scholarship. Lindsay is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching musicians how to develop their abilities and unique musical identities. She has also taught in a variety of musical styles as she believes in the expression of all genres of music. Her teaching style provides students with a supportive and enriching learning experience.
JAIME M
GUITAR, BASS, CELLO, UKULELE
Jaime holds a Bachelors of Music in Cello Performance and Pedagogy from Kean University. He has performed in several local orchestras in New Jersey with the cello as well as being the bass guitarist for local post-hardcore band With Sails Ahead. In addition to his cello training, Jaime has played the guitar and bass for most of his life and is a collector of various stringed instruments (guitar, bass, cello, mandolin, ukulele). HIs students benefit from his wide variety of performance experience and eclectic taste in music.
GENNARO M
VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO, BASS, DOUBLE BASS, GUITAR, UKULELE
Gennaro began his musical journey at the age of 12, starting with a traditional Venezuelan instrument, the Cuatro. Three years later, he discovered his passion, the double bass. This led Gennaro to participate in El Sistema, studying with masters such as Felix Petit, Luis Guillermo Perez, Freddy Adrian. After several years conducting and performing in Symphony Orchestras across Venezuela, Gennaro looks forward to sharing his love of music theory, analysis, and performance with all levels of string students.
ALBERT M
GUITAR, PIANO, DRUMS
Albert graduated with honors from Fredonia University in 1986, earning a B.A. in Music Performance for Classical Guitar. His twenty year music performance career began as a classical guitarist giving solo recitals and live cabaret shows. He then transitioned into the rock arena and performed and recorded with several original bands, including NYC’s Rip Chord, in addition to doing studio work for several other recording artists. Albert has also been teaching private guitar, bass, drum and songwriting lessons for over thirty years sharing his love of music with students of all ages. Recently, he turned his attention from performing to recording and created a studio in his seaside home in Highlands, NJ where he writes and records music for film in a diverse range of styles.
RAYMOND S
PIANO, GUITAR, DRUMS
Raymond is a multi-instrumentalist musician and audio engineer who has been teaching since 2012. Ray studied Communications/Media Theory and Music at Fordham University at Lincoln Center, where he concentrated his research in Popular Music Studies. As the keyboardist/songwriter of his funk & soul band Des and the Swagmatics, he has performed at venues across the east coast, including NYC's Bitter End and Bowery Electric, and Asbury Park's Convention Hall, Stone Pony and Asbury Lanes; recorded at Atlantic Records Studios NYC; shared the stage with Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes and legendary drummer Bernard Purdie; performed at Gov. Phil Murphy's election night victory party; and was named Best Keyboardist by newjerseystage.com's 2019 Makin' Waves Awards. Ray is also a Beatle encyclopedia, music history nerd, vinyl record enthusiast, and piano tuner at the ready!
TIMOTHY V
PIANO, SAXOPHONE, TRUMPET, EARLY STARTERS
Timothy resides in Neptune NJ and began playing music as a young child in elementary school. While in high school, he performed at the NYC Saint Patrick's Day Parade and was a member of the All Shore Symphonic Band. Timothy continued his education at Lebanon Valley College where he studied Music Education and French Horn Performance. While at college, he performed in the marching and jazz bands along with touring with the concert choir and singing with his Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia brothers.
MARCO
GUITAR, PIANO
Marco studied classical performance at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ and the Mannes Conservatory in New York City. During his undergraduate studies, Marco studied with Richard Jacobowski, winner of the prestigious Andres Segovia Award for Outstanding Guitar and Michael Newman, founding member of the critically acclaimed Newman and Oltman duo. Marco also participated in master classes with renowned classical guitarists Elliot Fisk, Frederick Hand, Ben Verdery, Jason Vieux, and David Leisner. Marco went on to study Music Therapy and graduated from Montclair State University in 2012. Marco has performed in international competitions in Orvieto, Italy and Bratislava, Slovakia. Marco has over 17 years of extensive experience teaching guitar and piano throughout the New York metro area. In addition to teaching, Marco is also a regular performer at venues throughout the Jersey Shore area.

Jeff is best known as one half of the top 30 mainstream rock act, The Infinite Staircase. He has performed live with, written, recorded and/or co-produced songs with Zakk Wylde, John JD DeServio, Morgan Rose, Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, Kevin Martin, Adam Kury, Memphis Hennesy, Chris Caffery, Corey Glover, Blues Saraceno, Earl Slick, Troy Cromwell, Bob Pantella (Monster Magnet), and Augie Ciulla (Reparata and the Delrons).
Working behind the scenes as a manager, booking agent, stage manager, and merchandise manager, he's worked with Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, Reba McEntire, Shirley Reeves & The Shirelles, Bill Haley's Comets, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, The Brooklyn Bridge, Jay and The Americans, The Drifters, Little Anthony & The Imperials, members of Candlebox, Sevendust & Black Label Society, Black Angel Down featuring Nokio of Dru Hill, The Verve Pipe, Bobby Dall of Poison, Cycle Of Pain, etc...

JENN H
EARLY STARTERS, PIANO
In addition to Jenn’s training as a violinist and pianist, she is also a certified teacher of Elementary Education. With a Bachelor’s of Science degree in K-6 education from Taylor University, Her expertise in pedagogy are matched by her masterful approach to technique and her dilligent focus on the many seemingly small details it takes to learn an instrument as complex as the piano. Jenn is a great fit for anyone getting started on the piano or seeking to learn more about it. Her many years of experience working as an instructor, including teaching many individuals with special needs, make piano lessons with Jenn a great fit for any student.
MIKE W
DRUMS
Mike has studied under numerous gifted drum instructors with varied fields of expertise; at Mason Gross with the legendary drummer Victor Lewis and classical composer Joe Tompkins, at the New School Veneto Jazz Workshop with Jeff Hirschfield, and at Julliard with classical percussionist Greg Giannascoli. Studying both classical percussion as well as jazz drum set has given Mike a unique outlook on both the creative fundamentals of improvisation and soloing as well as the importance of the drums in larger ensemble settings. His ongoing performance credits include the Rutgers Jazz Ensemble, the New Jersey Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the WM Jazz Quartet.
FRANK D
SAXOPHONE, CLARINET
Frank has been teaching private music lessons on clarinet and saxophone for nearly 30 years. He attended Binghamton University where he studied clarinet with Dr. Timothy Perry and saxophone with Albert Hamme. Prior to that, he studied with Caesar DiMauro, Barry Bilowitz and Laurence Laurenzano. At Binghamton, Frank performed with the university's Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Orchestra. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992, Frank began teaching at various music schools on Staten Island. Since moving to Middletown, NJ, Frank has continued to teach clarinet and saxophone lessons to students of Middletown's elementary, middle and high schools. Frank’s students have participated in the NYSSMA Festival, All Shore Jazz Band, All Shore Symphonic Band, All Shore Intermediate Band, Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Youth Ensemble, Jazz Arts Academy, CJMEA Elementary Honors Band and the Pre-College Division Honors Music Program at Westminster Conservatory of Music.
Frank is currently the principal clarinetist in the Colts Neck Community Band and the founder and soprano/alto saxophonist of the Sunken City Saxophone Quartet. He feels that while learning an instrument takes a lot of time and practice, it should also be a fun and enjoyable experience!
